Moe’s History
The first thing to note about Moe’s is that it is a pretty recent restaurant. This means it has a brief history. Its story begins in the 1980s when a recent college student by name of Martin Sprock found this restaurant.
He was able to establish Moe’s because he already had a five years of experience job that centred around the real estate business. More so, he ventured into the restaurant business when his favourite bar was closed.
Martin teamed up with the bar owner and opened the bar in another location. He was successful in purchasing and building bars in Southwest America. However, Martin began craving something else.
With such a craving, he sold his bar interests to people in a bid to start afresh. And this time around, he built a fun yet family-oriented restaurant. He was the first to find Planet Smoothie.
Bear in mind that Planet Smoothie was founded in the 1990s and was very successful. So, Martin founded his first fast food in 1995 in nowhere else but Atlanta, Georgia.
Planet Smoothie was successful enough to spread over and share moderate success with more than twenty located in the Southwest and twenty-five franchise shops situated in Atlanta. This Smoothie-themed franchise was able to stand out against some great competitions and it grew greatly in the 2000s.
Martin began other prospective restaurant interests to fight this and soon he stuck an idea for a restaurant that was Southwest-inspired. In no time, Moe’s Southwest barbecue was launched in 2000.
Martin’s first creation was Planet Smoothie though he wanted to provide customers with a healthy menu diet. His description of his current venture went in the line of a Mexican Subway.
This chain restaurant swiftly became known and it grew to be popular.
With more than six hundred locations in the US alone, the chain is swiftly on track to becoming the most famous restaurant.
